In 2019, the Musée de la Batterie de Merville-Franceville created the show “They didn’t know it was possible so they did it” which was a great success with the approval of the veterans.
The museum wishes to pay tribute once again to British veterans on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy and is therefore reposting this show.
A re-enactment that will bring to life the crucial hours of the attack on the battery with the help of pyrotechnic effects, with the participation of 150 extras and vintage vehicles. It is based entirely on historical facts.
This re-enactment will take place at nightfall (from 10 p.m.), on June 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2024.
